Job Description:

The Manager, Associate Relations will manage and resolve complex associate relations matters and executive escalations from Operations. The Manager, Associate Relations will be responsible for interfacing and building strong partnerships with key personnel including, but not limited to, HR Business Partners, Operational Leaders, Compliance Analysts, and Labor and Employment Attorneys. This position will be responsible for leading and conducting assigned Human Resources investigations in our Associate Relations Center of Excellence.

Your responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee the Integrity Line program and the vendor contract for the company.

  2. Manage and oversee the Associate Relations team providing support to HR Business Partners and managing the Integrity Line mailbox.

  3. Apply metrics to gather insights, determine trends and develop proactive strategies to remediate risk within the business. Report on trends to leadership on a quarterly basis.

  4. Independently lead and conduct complex investigations into averred unlawful workplace activity, perceived unfair treatment, and averred violations of company policies and procedures in a prompt, efficient, thorough and professional manner.

  5. Timely respond to internal complaints presented through various avenues, including the Integrity Hotline, escalations, email, and direct calls.

  6. Conduct interviews of associates and others, often involving sensitive subjects.

  7. Consult with HR and Operational leaders on sensitive and critical matters, including executive escalations

  8. Collaborate with other investigators to conduct prompt and thorough investigations.

  9. Work both independently and with other investigators on initiatives for investigative enhancements and process improvements.

  10. Author detailed, professional investigation reports in a timely manner and maintain well-organized and accurate case files.

  11. Interface, as necessary, with executives on investigative matters.

  12. Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality.

  13. Use sound judgment to mitigate risk and weigh the importance and validity of information to form fact-based opinions, solve problems, and make formal recommendations on the highest priority Associate Relations matters.

  14. Provide creative solutions to issues and work to resolve Associate Relations issues utilizing comprehensive knowledge of company policies, procedures, and practices, and all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  15. Develop and present training programs related to relevant Associate Relations or Investigative topics.

  16. Demonstrate consistent awareness of and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, rules, policies, and other obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

  17. Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

  18. Maintain flexibility with respect to work-hours in order to respond to urgent issues and to the situational needs and requirements of the workload.

  19. Perform other duties as assigned e.g. special projects, trends and key performance indicator analyses.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor"s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum five years of experience in human resources, preferably in associate/employee relations, including experience leading and conducting complex Human Resources-related investigations.

  • SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) or SHRM-SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional) Preferred
