Your responsibilities:

  • Monitor residents within state licensure regulations

  • May supervise and direct CNAs and nurses where allowed by state licensure regulations

  • Assist in maintaining a physical, social and psychological environment in the best interest of residents

  • Obtain and administer medication and treatments, as prescribed by physician

  • Document and review medication and treatment sheets for accuracy and compliance with physician orders, professional standards, federal and state regulations and company policies

  • Assist in implementing and revising service plans or resident care plans based on resident needs

  • Possess knowledge of medication interactions and notify Director of Clinical Services or the Nursing Home Administrator of any occurrences

  • Plan and organize quality control programs and activities

  • Maintain library of quality control and assessment materials necessary for complying with current standards and regulations and maintaining quality resident care

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Associate"s or Bachelor"s degree in nursing; current Practical/Vocational Nurse licensure

  • Two years risk management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing/rehab environment

  • Proficiency with computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office

  • Must enjoy working with the senior population
